This month, I'd like to emphasize one of the six valuable 21st century skills, creativity.
We can see creativity when our students explore beyond the traditional ways, such as learning outside the class during field trips! Creativity also happens when our students take risks and initiatives campaigning to become a member of the student council or an eco-delegate! Creativity flourishes when we welcome artists, draw, paint with water, and display artwork on clothespins. Lastly, building a community of creative and curious learners who will appreciate and understand different cultures and traditions during "La Semaine du Gout" is the highlight of the month of October.
It is now time to recharge and enjoy the vibrant colors of Fall during the break.
Pre-K4, Kindergarten, and First-grade classes went on a fall field trip to Alstede Farms in Chester, NJ. During this trip, students had the opportunity to go apple-picking and learn about the origins of fruits and vegetables.
Our preschoolers took part in creating collective artworks exhibited worldwide on the same day. The project's theme, "With or Without Water," aligns with our commitment to sustainable development, enabling teachers to engage students in meaningful discussions about water conservation.
Furthermore, the children in Hoboken received a visit from Shamona Stokes, an artist and long-time friend of the FAA. Shamona came with her friend, Junghwa, an illustrator of children's books. Together they guided the students in creating the artwork. Discover Our

School-Wide Shared Literacy through "One School, One Book" Project
The "One School, One Book" project promotes literacy, unity, and themes of inclusion, justice, and kindness through shared monthly reading experiences between elementary and preschool students in both French and English.
We've elected our student councils. Being part of the Student Council gives students a hands-on experience of the democratic process, communication and empowers them to make meaningful contributions to our school community.
During the month of October, we celebrated the 'Week of Flavor,' a celebration of students' diverse cultures through delicious cuisine and a unique opportunity to learn about all aspects of the culinary world.
We hosted our 3rd Foulées Olympiques event, during which students ran laps to raise funds for both the Georgie Badiel Foundation and Konekte. Our goal is to collect $20,000 to help children and women in Haiti and Burkina Faso. We can still receive your donations!
Our Englewood and Jersey city Campus selected their Eco-delegates. Their mission is to raise awareness about 17 UN goals on sustainable development within our school community.
Meet Martha Sebti, our English 4th/5th Grade Teacher
Our Teacher Spotlight showcases our dedicated teachers, such as Martha Sebti, providing an in-depth look into our teacher's motivations, teaching philosophies, and exciting projects. It offers a glimpse into the heart of our school's educational pedagogy.
We happily invite you, your family, and your friends to join us at one of our upcoming Open Houses for prospective parents!
Each open house begins with an introduction to our school and curriculum by our Head of School and Admissions Director. This is followed by an interactive workshops giving prospective families a taste of our learning experience.
