Celebrating Family Traditions in the Holiday Season 

Life in our international community flourishes when we celebrate and share each other's traditions. In Englewood, first and second-grade students created poster presentations to showcase their family traditions, fostering empathy, inclusion, and a festive spirit among classmates.

Anne Hoppenot Shares Konekte’s Impact in Haiti

Anne Hoppenot, the co-founder of Konekte, spoke with our 8th graders about the organization's mission to develop and fund educational programs in Haiti's Ganthier region and discussed the country's humanitarian crisis. We have been partners since 2018.

Supporting Global Causes: Founder Georgie Badiel and Co-Founder Anne Hoppenot Visit Our School

Our students embraced global connections by engaging with their peers in Burkina Faso. During a Zoom meeting with 4th and 5th grade students from Samora Machel in Ouagadougou, they discovered how the oasis funded by our previous efforts have become a lifeline—producing fresh fruits, vegetables, and providing access to water. This cross-cultural exchange deepened their understanding of the impact of their actions and highlighted the power of community-driven change. Students asked each other questions to compare the vast differences in their lives.

We hosted our "Freshman for a Day" at our new high school, and it was an unforgettable experience! Students from all over Jersey City and NYC came to see what sets our high school apart, and they got a true taste of our International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum in action.
