Head of School's Message

Our Winter Shows were truly special this year as our students sang for peace and harmony! As an international school aware of the events happening in the world, our theme was meaningful and celebrated tolerance and love. The soulful rendition of Francis Cabrel's song asking for a little more love or the cheerful request for a smile, "when you're smiling, the whole world smiles with you," are good starters for the new year. On behalf of the whole FAA Team, we wish you a holiday season filled with joy, laughter, and cherished moments.

Happy New Year !

One Book One Month Project

For December's One Book One Month project, our elementary students read a book, "Mouton 56," to our preschoolers in French. This project promotes collaboration and a sense of community across different age groups while also improving the language skills of both the readers and listeners.

Celebrating Family Traditions in the Holiday Season

Life in our multicultural community is enhanced when we can learn about the traditions that enrich our classmates’ and students’ lives. In Englewood, our first- and second-grade classes take part in a poster presentation activity to reflect upon and share their families’ traditions. Sharing information about events that are special in students’ lives boosts interest and empathy among classmates, fostering an atmosphere of inclusion for the festive season.

Secret Snowflake Eco-Friendly Gift Exchange Party

At our middle school holiday party, students participated in team-building activities and then took part in a Secret Snowflake gift exchange. Rather than purchasing gifts, the students used their creativity to make eco-friendly homemade gifts. It was a fun and memorable way to end the year.

Winter Shows Spread a Message of World Peace

This week, the students from PK to 5th grade from all campuses sang in the Winter Shows held in Jersey City and Englewood. The show's theme was "World Peace". To prepare for the show, our students worked with our music teachers, Josephine and Michael, to bring the choir performance to life, adding solos, canon and bells. The students came together and sang the "Peace Medley," which ended the show with the lyrics of peace.

Small Actions, Big Impact: Ma petite Planète

Our students from all campuses participated in the "Ma petite Planète" challenge, which involved doing eco-friendly actions such as recycling, debating on environmental issues, reusing materials, enjoying nature, and more. All actions are linked to the 17 UN goals and demonstrate that small steps can make a significant difference in achieving a better and healthier planet.
