The ability to speak in front of an audience has been at the forefront of the month of April in various events, from our Parents Breakfast or for the “Ambassadeurs en herbe” competition or the Model UN. Our students have enthusiastically and courageously honed their public speaking skills. Whether in French or English, they have showcased their ability to argue persuasively, recount stories, and deliver presentations.

Head of School's Message

Dear FAA Community,

The ability to speak in front of an audience has been at the forefront of the month of April in various events, from our Parents Breakfast or for the “Ambassadeurs en herbe” competition or the Model UN. Our students have enthusiastically and courageously honed their public speaking skills. Whether in French or English, they have showcased their ability to argue persuasively, recount stories, and deliver presentations.

Effective public speaking seldom comes naturally; it demands careful preparation and attention to content and format. We are immensely proud of our students' efforts, resilience, and growth in mastering these essential communication skills.

It is now time to rejuvenate during the Spring break, gaining strength and energy for the final stretch of the school year. We invite you to explore our blog, where we reinforce the importance of quality sleep. Adequate rest plays a pivotal role in enhancing academic performance.

Have a blossoming day,

Anne-Sophie Gueguen

Model U.N. Conference at Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn, NY

5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders attended a Model U.N. Conference at Saint Ann’s School in Brooklyn, NY this past Saturday.

During the conference, our students were able to apply what they practiced throughout the year in Model U.N. Club. Some of these skills include: research, public speaking, consensus building, negotiation, crisis management, and quick decision making. Seven FAA students attended the conference, along with 15 other tri-state middle schools, and were spread out over 8 Committees.

Congratulations to Our School's "Ambassadeurs en Herbe" Finalists

Our students competed at the North American AEFE finale of "Ambassadeurs en Herbe," in Quebec City on April 5th. We are very proud of Emma, Daniel, Oceane, Juliette, and Joseph for their hard work and dedication in competing.
That evening, the French Consul General in Quebec, Eric Lamouroux, announced the final results: Emma, Oceane (8th graders) and Juliette (6th grade) have been selected to represent our school in the World Final (Collective Competition) in Paris. Congratulations!

An unforgettable experience for our students: they learned how to cope with their stress before and during the competition while relying on each other to overcome their fears.
