As educators, we believe that nurturing a broad general culture is essential for our students’ growth. It’s not only within the walls of a school that learning happens; the dinner table can also be a wonderful, safe place to encourage curiosity, discussions, and reflection. Conversations about inspiring figures like Pope Francis — or about any person who contributed to a better world — offer children a chance to ask questions, develop their understanding, and build a deeper sense of empathy.

Head of School's Message

Dear FAA Community,

This month, the world mourned the passing of Pope Francis, a figure whose life embodied acceptance, inclusion, and compassion for the most vulnerable. His legacy reminds us of the importance of openness — to different cultures, different beliefs, and to those who may need our attention the most.

By making space for these exchanges at home, just as we encourage them in the classroom, we work together to awaken our children's thinking, cultivate their curiosity, foster meaningful questions, and equip them with the general culture that will help them engage thoughtfully and generously with the world around them.

Warm regards,

Anne-Sophie Gueguen
